Everything for travel day, in one place

A mobile-first trip planner for managing multi-day, multi-destination itineraries with flight status, built-in buffers, and everything organized day by day.

Challenge

Travel days are stressful because nothing is in one place. You've planned everything, but on the day itself, it becomes overwhelming.

Approach

The big question was what a traveler needs to see, and when they need to see it. So I built four views. The trip overview, month calendar, a day timeline, and a status tracker.

Impact

Since building it, I've used it on every trip. It's replaced the scattered notes, screenshots, and message chats I used to rely on to keep any trip organized.

A 13-icon event system covers every part of a trip, flights, hotels, activities, dining, sightseeing, even buffer time between plans. Each icon has its own color, so the type of event is recognizable at a glance. Select the type, plug in the details, and it's automatically color-coded and organized.

This trip covers two islands, so switching between them had to feel seamless. Each island gets its own dates, events, and checklist, but it's all still in one trip.

Color-coded destinations for two islands, two cities, or two stops easy to tell apart.

A live now marker so you can instantly see what's done, what's next, and how much time you have.

Design intent

Travel days are stressful because everything is scattered. You've planned ahead, but on the day itself, finding what you need becomes its own problem. This tool brings it all into one calm, focused view so you can just get where you're going. It's built with a consistent system across 14 event types and their states, so the experience stays coherent.

Claude Code helped define the architecture, refine the feature set, and sharpen every decision along the way.
